Great movie from 2016. It is a pleasure for me to watch movie like Colonia. The film gave me a very strange feeling, deep inside me. I was afraid that knowledge of the plot would in some way take away the joy of watching, but it did not happen. An movie highly valued for me. Daniel and Lena, a couple become entangled in the Chilean military coup of 1973. When Daniel is abducted by Pinochet's secret police DINA, Lena tries to find and save her husband. She tracks him to a sealed-off village called Colonia Dignidad. The Colonia presents itself as a charitable mission run by lay preacher Paul Schafer but, in fact, is a place nobody ever escaped from.
